Sentiment Appears To Be High for Biden Not To Run For Re-election
After nearly 1,300 responses to our poll conducted via Twitter, it’s clear that our readers and followers are not concerned about the classified documents found at locations associated to President Joe Biden. However, what is clear is that there is one major concern. His age.
In response to one simple question – “Do the classified docs mean enough to say no Biden in ‘24?” – 91% indicated no, while 9% said yes. This wasn’t a major surprise, but the real learnings came through the comments, which appear to show a strong sentiment for Biden not to run for re-election. Here’s just a few:
Support for Biden certainly wasn’t non-existent, as several comments made it clear that he is their candidate for 2024. However, our take on the feedback is that it lends support to the notion that there is a growing sentiment among blue voters that Biden should step aside, allowing fresh blood to take up the reigns. Obviously, the sample size of comments is very small, and should not be looked at as the gospel of Democrat voters, but it also can’t be ignored. Is Biden’s age a factor? Should he step aside for somebody else? If so, who? Harris, Booker, Buttigieg? These are all questions likely to be answered in the coming months, and we’ll be here to report on them.
